Kristin Sanchez, El Paso Community College Head Librarian at the Rio Grande Campus, made and maintains the podcast website. Rudy Vasquez, Marketing Director for the El Paso Community Foundation, promotes the podcast. Fernando Mares runs the multimedia studio at El Paso Community College. Their contributions are invaluable to the success of this endeavor.

About the Hosts
Stephanie Valle spent more than two decades as a local journalist, broadcast news anchor and podcast producer. Her passion for telling local crime stories in the Borderland Crimes Podcast landed her numerous accolades, including the prestigious National Edward R. Murrow Award in 2024. The winning episode chronicled a convicted killer's execution, to which Stephanie served as a media witness for KVIA ABC-7. Stephanie now works in the El Paso District Attorney's Office as the Special Projects Administrator.
Along with the Plaza Classic Film Festival Advisory Committee, Stephanie also serves on the boards for the regional Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence.
Stephanie has two kids and a cat, and enjoys running, hiking, traveling, watching movies and reading.
Lisa Elliott is an award-winning Professor of Mass Communication at El Paso Community College. Before completing her Master's degree in Popular Culture, Elliott worked in the entertainment industry. Lisa is a member of the Plaza Classic Film Festival Program Advisory Committee.
