El Paso Community Foundation Program Director and Film Festival Artistic Director, Doug Pullen, joins hosts Stephanie Valle and Lisa Elliott to discuss one of the main threads that is woven into this years festival. It is "Hollywood Goes to War." A series of films that explore Hollywood's representation of and relationships with World War II.

Doug Pullen is in his 12th year as the program director for the El Paso Community Foundation and its highly popular Plaza Classic Film Festival, which celebrates its 18th anniversary July 17-27, 2025 ,in and around the historic, restored Plaza Theatre in El Paso, TX. Born in Maine, he is an Eastwood High School and Texas Tech University graduate who worked nearly 40 years as a music critic, movie critic and arts and entertainment writer for newspapers in Texas and Michigan, where he covered the Detroit music scene for nearly 20 years.
