Hosts Stephanie Valle and Lisa Elliott are joined by fellow Plaza Classic Film Festival Program Advisory Committee member and Spanish Plaza Classic Podcast Host Jaime Mendez for a nostalgic look at drive-in movies.
Dr. Jaime Mendez currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Students at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). His duties include overseeing student support, governance and compliance. He also oversees the university’s food pantry and advises the Student Government Association. In addition, Dr. Mendez has served as a programming committee member of the Plaza Classic Film Festival for the past 11 years. This is an event that allows him to engage in his passion for film, along with various teaching, acting and production opportunities he has engaged with. He received his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration (2020), M.A. in Theater with a focus in Playwriting (2006) and B.A. in Psychology (1997). All three degrees were earned at UTEP.
