"Graphic novel" is a term gaining acceptance that is used to describe bound narratives that tell a story through sequential art with or without text. Comics is a medium used to express ideas by images, often combined with text or other visual information. Comics frequently takes the form of juxtaposed sequences of panels of images. This guide is designed to highlight the graphic novel and comics collection at the EPCC Transmountain Library and the EPCC Northwest Library as those that represent the medium historically and artistically.
