Additional help for finding continuing education articles:

  • Go to the library website: www.epcc.edu/services/libraries

  • Click on Online Databases

  • Click on Health and Medicine

  • Click on OVID - Your Journals at Ovid

  • Click on "Journals" on the blue bar at the top

  • A list of journals comes up.

  • For OB, try Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing or MCN

  • When you click on the journal name it opens up to the most recent issue.

  • Look through the issue at the page numbers.  When you find the page starts with the letter E that is a continuing ed test in most cases (sometimes it is an article that is online so don't use those you can tell because it is multiple pages long)  It will say test on it once you click on it.

  • Now you need to find the article that goes with that test.  Look on the same list of journal articles that you find the test and an article with the exact same name will be there.

  • Example:

    • Breastfeeding Positions for new mothers p. E5 (this would be the test)

    • Breastfeeding Positions for new mothers pp. 35-42 (this would be the article)

    • Make sure it says continuing ed or professional development at the top of the article/test.
