How to Use the EPCC Libraries: Services

The El Paso Community College (EPCC) Libraries are a welcoming place for research, study, and reading. This guide explains how to use the library.

TexShare!

As a student, you have access to more than just the resources that are simply located within the El Paso Community College libraries. By applying for a TexShare! card, free of charge, you have access to books from libraries all over the world! So, if you need that book for your class or leisurely reading, you are encouraged to apply for this card.

Interlibrary Loan

As a student searching for a book, you may come across the fact that another campus has the book you need. Rather than driving over to the campus, you may simply go over to the circulation desk and request the book be sent to your campus via interlibrary loan. The process only takes about 2 days and is another service available to make obtaining your resources convenient.

Course Reserves

EPCC libraries carry textbooks for various classes at your specific campus. To access these materials, simply visit the circulation desk and see if the textbook you need is within our collection. By showing a valid EPCC ID, you will be permitted to use the textbook for your class in 1 hour time increments.

Computer Access

Depending on campus size, EPCC libraries offer students the access to dozens of computers. To access a computer, you will need to know your student login name and password. If you do not have this information, it is encouraged you call the IT Help Desk at 915-831-6440

Study Rooms

EPCC understands you need study rooms and areas that are acceptable for your group projects. Due to this reason, all campus libraries offer students a range of tables, desks, and study carrels. In the event you have a group project to complete or need a place that is more ideal to study, you are encouraged to reserve a study room. These rooms are typically in closed rooms and allow you to freely converse with your group or finish your work in a quiet environment.

Printing

EPCC libraries offer students the capability to print from our library. Since our service is offered to the community, we do charge a fee of .5 cents per page.
