Welcome to this LibGuide! An information literate person can be characterized as a person who has a set of skills and qualities to efficiently locate information sources while understanding their significance and credibility for use. An information-literate person can recognize the need for a source, an example being in a class, and have the ability to efficiently locate and assess those sources. As a college student there are a variety of sources you can use. This guides purpose is to inform you about various sources available to you as an El Paso Community College student. Overall, the skills and resources provided by this guide will carry over into many of your classes. Being information literate will make the research process in any class easier for yourself.
