Recognizing What Makes a Resource Credible!

Currency Information should be current, especially if it is in health and technology-relates disciplines.
Relevance Is the information relevant to what you are researching?
Accuracy Are there any grammatical errors of obvious mistakes in the work?
Authority  What makes the person an expert in whatever they are discussing?
Purpose Is the information informative, leisurely, promotional, educational, etc.

Being able to recognize why resources are reliable is vital in performing research and retrieving resources. The CRAAP Test will help you determine the reliability of your resource.
