Once the user begins to feel comfortable with the keyboard there are some really fun games that can be played that might seem a little familiar. Most of them are based on popular games that have been around for many years but with a new typing twist! undefined

Keyboard Jump is a fun colorful game where a word must be typed correctly to allow for the main character to jump higher onto the next branch. Difficulty levels can be set from Insane to Easy and the words can be limited to specific rows on the keyboard or to anything goes. The character is given 3 lives which means the typist can make a couple of mistakes before the round ends. At the end of the round, a score and time are given. This is a nice game to practice whole word typing. undefined

Keyboard Ninja looks very similar to another game where a ninja slices through objects on the screen. This game is really fun to play and requires that the player type the specific letter associated with the fruit without typing the bomb's letter. This game is visually appealing and has a nice sense of familiarity that children will enjoy.

Tommy Q: Zombie Defender is another classic game with a typing twist that is available on Typing.com. Zombies approach Tommy Q as they approach seemingly calmly while following nice, neat rows cut into the grass, Tommy Q is able to shoot at them as long as the person playing types the words floating above the zombies correctly. The player must also move Tommy Q up and down the rows and must face him the right way to aim his baseball launcher in the right direction. This game can be a very fun way to practice whole word typing while trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. undefined

ZType is the next game that is available on this website that also feels pretty familiar. A military-style aircraft located at the bottom of the screen shoots missiles at words as they approach but only if the word is typed correctly. The letters change color as they are typed correctly so that the player does not get confused and all words must be typed out before they get to the aircraft or else it would explode and that would be the end of the game.

The next game is called Type-A-Ballon and is a carnival-type game where balloons are labeled with letters and are floating in the air and must be shot down by big-top style cannons but only after the letters are typed correctly. This is a good way to get some practice in with single letters before moving onto harder games with whole words.

The most detailed and exciting typing game available on Typing.com has to be Nitro Type! It allows for players to pick a race car and type their way to first place in a race with other real players. Teams can be created so that every team member can help the team get to the leaderboard. There is no communication between players but people can become friends and race with each other and team captains can put up daily mottos to encourage their team members to try their best. Rewards are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and new cars can be earned and can be switched out as well as features on the cars. People of all ages will love this game and it makes being a speed racer in typing fun and easy!

Another game that is available on Typing.com is called Type Toss which is reminiscent of another carnival-type game where metal cutouts of animals with words are moving across the screen and the correct letters need to be typed before the animal cutout is knocked down. The letters also change color in this game as they are typed to help the player keep track of what they are typing. The player can select from hard, medium, or easy words and can choose between all words or those that are only found on a specific row of the keyboard.
