Culture of Respect™ was founded in 2013 by the parents of college-aged students who were alarmed by the high rate of sexual assault on campuses and the lack of comprehensive resources for survivors, students, administrators, and parents. They convened a team of public health and violence prevention researchers and experts in advocacy, student affairs, higher education policy, and law to develop the first editions of the CORE Blueprint, CORE Evaluation, and CultureofRespect.org.

The mission of "1in6" is to help men who have had unwanted or abusive sexual experiences live healthier, happier lives.

Founded in 2004, Joyful Heart is a leading national organization with a mission to transform society’s response to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse, support survivors’ healing, and end this violence forever.

Only 20 years old, Vanessa Guillen an Army Private First Class stationed at Fort Hood in Texas, was murdered in April by a fellow military member who Guillen was likely about to formally accuse of sexual harassment. She had been missing for more than two months by the time her remains were discovered. The suspected murderer committed suicide as law enforcement closed in on him for apprehension.

The National Alliance to End Sexual Violence educates the policy community about federal laws, legislation and appropriations impacting the fight to end sexual violence. Its team of experts and advocates, donating time away from their state and local groups, publish written analysis, track legislation, provide media interviews, and advise members of Congress and the executive branch.

The Victim Rights Law Center’s mission is to provide legal representation to survivors of rape and sexual assault to help rebuild their lives; and to promote a national movement committed to seeking justice for every rape and sexual assault survivor.

NSVRC provides research & tools to advocates working on the frontlines to end sexual harassment, assault, and abuse with the understanding that ending sexual violence also means ending racism, sexism, and all forms of oppression.

The mission of BJS is to collect, analyze, publish, and disseminate information on crime, criminal offenders, victims of crime, and the operation of justice systems at all levels of government. BJS also provides financial and technical support to state, local, and tribal governments to improve both their statistical capabilities and the quality and utility of their criminal history records.
