ENGL 1302 - Local Library Research (Ira Walker): Citations & Writing Styles

Demonstrates how to find the information resources you need to do your Annotated Bibliography and Research Paper assignments, how to critically appraise the found information, organize it and cite it.

Citing Your Sources

Once you have written your Annotated Bibliography and Research Paper, you will need to make sure that you give credit to all of the resources you used.

This means that you have to say where you got the information that was used in your paper.  This is called a citation.

A citation usually includes information such as the author's name, title of the book, or article and journal, publisher, date, and more.

This information allows the instructor to know where you found your research.

For this assignment your instructor is giving you the option to use two differrent writing and citation styles, APA or MLA.
