Congratulations on your position as a Probationary Tenure Track Faculty member at El Paso Community College.
"Tenure is assurance to a full-time faculty member who has served a full probationary period that he
or she may expect to continue in his or her faculty positionwith the District unless adequate cause for
dismissal is demonstrated" (Board Policy 3.07.02). Tenure is reserved for a probationary faculty
member who has demonstrated his/her exemplary performance and service to the College. Tenure is
worthy of respect and dignity and is under faculty purview.
