Film Studies: Books

Film resources available at the EPCC libraries or on the web.

Searching by Subject - Classic Catalog

A subject search is different from a keyword search.

In a keyword search you can enter any words in the search box and it will look through all of the books trying to find these words anywhere in the catalog.

In a subject search, however, you only put the main idea of your topic in the search box.  The computer looks at what subjects have been assigned to each book/video to try and match the topic you put in the search box.

HINTS

Did you know that you can limit your search to a particular campus?

When searching for a book, look to the right of the search box.  There is a box that says "All Campuses."  Click on the down arrow on this box and select the campus you want to search.

Did you know that you can request a book from another campus?

Just fill out a form at your campus library and it will be sent to your campus. (Takes a few days to arrive.)
